MIAMI (March 25, 2019) – With the end of March quickly approaching, the FIU baseball team (11-12, 2-4 C-USA) will step out of conference play for a home-and-home series with Florida Gulf Coast (14-8, 1-2 ASUN) starting Tuesday.
Game one of the series is slated for 6:30 p.m. ET in Fort Myers on Tuesday. Live stats can be found

Logan Allen and
Javier Valdes were the bright spots for FIU baseball this past week as the Panthers went 1-3. Allen continued to dominate on the mound going 8.2 innings of one unearned run ball on Friday night. The lefty struck out 11 Hilltoppers to extend his C-USA best season total to 61, as his performance earned him Co-Pitcher of the Week honors from the conference. Valdes also hit home runs in back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday for the first time this season the 1B/C joins infield mate
Austin Shenton as the only Panthers to homer in back-to-back games this season.
UP NEXT
FIU embarks on the longest road swing of the season starting on Friday, March 29 with a three-game weekend set with FAU before heading to the Space City for a midweek contest against Houston on April 3 and a weekend series versus Rice on April 5-7.
