MIAMI (March 4, 2019) – The FIU baseball team returns home after a series win at Jacksonville State to kickoff a six-game homestand with a midweek pair against Florida A&M.

First pitch is slated for 7:00 p.m. at the FIU Baseball Stadium for Tuesday and Wednesday night. Both games will be streamed on CUSA.tv, while live stats for the game can be found here. AT THE PLATE
The bats of Austin Shenton and Javier Valdes led the Panthers to a series win against Jacksonville State. Shenton batted .500 on the weekend with three RBIs and a go-ahead homer to win the series opener. Valdes slashed a .286 average over the weekend with two RBIs and a go-ahead homer of his own in the series finale, while also walking four times.

LAST TIME OUT
FIU answered the call in its first true road test of the season after winning two out of three this past weekend at a cold and damp Jacksonville State. Logan Allen had a career-night on Friday, dominating Gamecock batters with 12 strikeouts in just five innings of work.   
 
UP NEXT
Seton Hall comes to 8th street for a three-game weekend series following a two-game set with Florida A&M. The homestand closes out with a midweek against in-state foe Stetson on March 12th.
