MIAMI (March 7, 2019) – With conference play quickly approaching, the FIU baseball team will host Seton Hall for the final non-conference weekend series of the year.
First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday followed by a 6 p.m. start time on Saturday and a 12 p.m. matinee to close out the weekend on Sunday.

LAST TIME OUT
FIU split a midweek series with Florida A&M after returning back to the friendly confines of FIU Baseball Stadium. The Panthers dropped game one of the series before evening the score behind a big first inning that saw four FIU base runners score. The win as marked a milestone for head coach
Mervyl Melendez as it was his 600th in his career.
AT THE PLATE
Junior third baseman
Austin Shenton has paced the Panther offensive attack over the last five games going 8-for-16 with six RBIs and two home runs.
Lorenzo Hampton, Jr. has provided has steady hand in the middle of lineup. FIU's lone senior leads the Panthers in a number of offensive categories including batting average (.404), hits (19), doubles (6), total bases (30) and runs scored (10).
UP NEXT
FIU closes out the homestand on March 12th with midweek matchup against Stetson before starting conference play on March 15th at Marshall.
