- The No. 9-ranked – and third seeded – FIU beach volleyball team pulled out a big win on Saturday to advance to Sunday's semifinal round in the 2019 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Tournament at the Lakepoint Sporting Community in Emerson, Georgia. The Panthers dominated the four seed South Carolina, who came into the dual ranked 13
th in the nation, 4-1. FIU, 17-10 on the season, will now face the two-seed, and No. 4-ranked, LSU at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

- After FIU dropped court five, 21-7, 21-13, the Panthers ran off four-straight victories en route to the win.

Margherita Bianchin got the Panthers' first point of the dual with a 21-16, 21-14 win on court one, followed by a 21-13, 24-22 win on court four. Dorina and
Ronja Klinger secured the dual victory with a 22-20, 21-18 triumph on court two.
