The Panthers improve to 12-0 all-time against FAU.


The Basics
- The No. 8 FIU beach volleyball team closed out its play in the FSU Invitational in Tallahassee, on Saturday, with a 3-2 win over No. 16 Florida Atlantic. The Panthers improve to 13-9 on the year and 5-3 in Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) play, while the Owls drop to 11-11 and 5-7 in CCSA. FIU's win extends FAU's losing streak to five duals.

- Lina Bernier and Erika Zembyla gave FIU a 1-0 lead in the dual with a 21-13, 21-16 win on court five, however, Florida Atlantic knotted the contest up at one-all with a three-set 21-10, 15-21, 15-11 win on court five. The Panthers would get the upper hand with wins on courts two and one soon after. Dorina Klinger and Ronja Klinger recorded a convincing 21-14, 21-16 win at the number two position, before Federica Frasca and Margherita Bianchin secured the dual victory at number one with a straight set 21-13, 21-15 victory.  
     
- The Panthers continued their dominance over the Owls, improving to 12-0 all-time against with their win on Saturday.

Up Next
FIU will close out the 2019 regular season next week, beginning on Wednesday, April 10, at 4 p.m., at Florida Southern, and then on Friday, April 12, at 2 p.m., when it faces Florida Atlantic, in Boca Raton, at the FAU Beach Volleyball Courts. Following its single dual with the Owls, the Panthers will head to the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Championships, April 19-21, in Emerson, Georgia, at the LakePoint Sports Complex.
