MIAMI (May 6, 2019) – With inclement weather in the forecast for the Panhandle of Texas, game one of the doubleheader between the FIU Panthers (20-27, 9-15 Conference USA) and the No. 9 Texas Tech Red Raiders (33-14, 14-7 Big 12) has been moved up.
First pitch of game one is slated for noon ET with game two following approximately 30 minutes after game one. Both games will be streamed

Austin Shenton's 19-game hit streak, the FIU offense continues to average a run and a half higher than the season average of 5.4 runs per game. On the most recent homestand,
Jose Garcia led all Panthers by driving in eight runs and clobbering two home runs.
Lorenzo Hampton, Jr. also added two more homers to tie Garcia for dingers on the home swing.
LAST TIME OUT
The week started with a C-USA Pitcher of the Week worthy performance in a 2-0 victory over Bethune-Cookman when
Christian Santana went eight scoreless innings with 10 Ks to tame the Wildcats. The Panthers opened the weekend by scoring 14 runs in the series opener before falling in the final two games of the series.
UP NEXT
The cross-country road trip continues into the weekend with a three-game set at Middle Tennessee before concluding with the final midweek of the year at Stetson on May 14.
