MIAMI (May 9, 2019) – For the second leg of the final road swing in 2019, the FIU baseball team (20-28, 9-15 C-USA) travels to Murfreesboro for a three-game series with the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders (17-31, 10-14 C-USA).
The weekend starts with a 7 p.m. ET first pitch on Friday before a 5 p.m. start on Saturday and a 1 p.m. ET first pitch to close things out on Sunday. Games will be streamed

AT THE PLATE
Led by
Austin Shenton's 19-game hit streak, the FIU offense continues to average a run and a half higher than the season average of 5.4 runs per game. On the most recent homestand,
Jose Garcia led all Panthers by driving in eight runs and clobbering two home runs.
Lorenzo Hampton, Jr. also added two more homers to tie Garcia for dingers on the home swing.
Jarrett Ford tied a program record on Tuesday by swiping five bags against nationally ranked Texas Tech.
LAST TIME OUT
FIU wrapped up the longest homestand of the season by dropping two out of a three to UAB on a rain-soaked weekend. The Panthers took the series opener with a brilliant offensive performance after scoring 14 runs before coming up just short in the final two games. The current road trip started with a midweek loss to No. 9 Texas Tech.
UP NEXT
The Panthers play their final road game of the season on May 14 at Stetson, before finishing the regular season slate at home with a three-game set against Louisiana Tech beginning on Thursday.
