MIAMI (Aug. 7, 2019) - On a perfect and sunny Miami day, the FIU women's soccer program kicked off preseason training on Wednesday morning, as the Panthers prepare for their season opener against Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday, August 22 at 7 p.m.
FIU will field an exciting roster this year that features an abundance of young talent. The Panthers will welcome 14 newcomers and nine freshmen to the squad as they reload for Head Coach Sharolta Nonen's third season leading the charge.
The infusion of youth will join a mix of 17 returnees for the Panthers. Highlighting the group is junior Ashley Adams, who led the team with five goals during the 2018 campaign, and sophomore Kaydeen Jack — who earned a selection to the C-USA All-Freshman Team following her standout first season in Blue & Gold.
