MIAMI (Sept. 30, 2019) – Under a picture-equse sky and slight Miami breeze, baseball returned to FIU Baseball Stadium on Monday as the Panthers held their first team practice of the fall ball season under the watchful eye of fourth-year head coach
Mervyl Melendez.
Players spent most of Monday getting back into the groove of things by taking infield/outfield followed by batting practice. Pitchers threw bullpen sessions supervised by new pitching coach
Willie Collazo.
Practices will continue throughout the week.
The Panthers return a veteran core that is supplemented with another highly touted recruiting class looking to reach postseason play for the first time since 2015.
