MIAMI (March 4, 2020) - The FIU softball team will host the Panther Invitational this weekend as they welcome Tulsa, Ball State, Samford and Maryland to Miami. The Panther Invitational will begin on Thursday, March 5 with first pitch set for 5 p.m. ET.
The Panthers will play four times over the weekend, beginning with Tulsa (5:00 p.m. ET) on Thursday. FIU will play one game on Friday against Ball State (3:30 p.m. ET) and will cap the weekend with a doubleheader on Saturday against Samford (5:30 p.m. ET) and Maryland (7:30 p.m. ET).

LAST TIME OUT
The Panthers visited Longwood, Florida to take part in the Spring Games. FIU picked up wins against Dartmouth (7-2), Albany (5-3) and Western Michigan (4-3).
MURASKIN IN THE CIRCLE
Allison Muraskin earned all three of FIU's wins in the circle for the Panthers at the Spring Games while posting her fifth complete game of the year after her performance against WMU. The junior is now 5-2 overall, while owning a team-best ERA of 2.49. Muraskin was named the Conference USA Co-Pitcher of the Week along with Hope Trautwein of North Texas on Monday, Feb. 10.
AT THE PLATE
Alexis Johns spearheads the Panthers at the plate, as the sophomore has averaged .400 so far this season. Johns also leads the team with 18 hits while scoring six times in the lead-off spot.
UP NEXT
FIU will begin conference play next weekend, as the Panthers hit the road for Huntington, West Virginia to face Marshall on March 13-15.
