Softball Drops Two on Saturday

Panthers fall to Northern Illinois and UConn

FORT MYERS, Florida (Feb. 20, 2021) - The FIU softball team fell in a pair of games on Saturday, as the Panthers continued action at the FGCU Tournament.

FIU fell 1-0 to NIU to open Saturday, before dropping a 3-1 decision to UConn.

Jocelyn Alonso earned FIU's lone RBI of the day, after her double against UConn drove in a run. Freshman Brooklynn Linnemann pitched six innings against NIU, allowing no earned runs and striking out three batters. 

UP NEXT
FIU takes on Northern Illinois at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, before closing out the weekend against host-FGCU at 2:00 p.m.
