MIAMI (Feb. 8, 2021) – Head coach Mervyl Melendez and the FIU baseball team announced the 2021 schedule on Monday, which includes four teams that won conference titles from 2019 and the defending national champion Vanderbilt Commodores.

It is important to note that all games are subject to change and additional contests may be added in the coming days or weeks. 
FIU opens the 2021 campaign on Friday, Feb. 19, as the Panthers welcome the 2019 Horizon League champion UIC Flames to Miami for a three-game set. First pitch for opening night is slated for 7 pm. The opening home series kicks off the longest homestand of the season, which includes ten games over a three-weekend span.
The Panthers host the Miami (OH) Redhawks out of the MAC for a four-game series on Feb. 26-28 before concluding the ten-game homestand with the 2019 Missouri Valley champion Indiana State Sycamores on March 5-7.
FIU hits the road for the next two weekends, with a trip up the East Coast to face the 2019 Sun Belt champion Coastal Carolina Chanticleers on March 12-14 for a four-game tilt, before returning to the Sunshine State on March 19-21 to take on Stetson and Wichita State in DeLand for the final weekend of non-conference play. The first midweek game of the year is scheduled for Tuesday, March 23, as FIU welcomes Stetson to Miami before venturing into C-USA action. 
C-USA play officially opens on the road, as the Panthers travel to Old Dominion for a four-game set on March 26-28. WKU comes to town for the four-game C-USA home opening series on Easter weekend on April 1-3, before Charlotte pays a trip to Miami for a four-game set on April 19-21.
 
Two Stetson midweeks are sandwiched around a weekend four-game trip to Marshall on April 16-18, with the first midweek being played in DeLand on April 13 before the return trip to Miami on April 21.
Heading into the back half of the 2021 slate, the schedule features eight-straight games against rival FAU, with a four-game set on each campus. The Panthers host the first series on April 23-25, before heading to Boca Raton to face the Owls on April 30-May 2.
 
FIU's final home weekend comes against Louisiana Tech on May 7-9. before wrapping up the C-USA regular-season slate at Middle Tennessee on May 14-16. The Panthers officially close the regular season out-of-conference, as FIU visits Nashville to take on defending national champion Vanderbilt on Tuesday, May 18.
 
The C-USA Tournament will be hosted by Louisiana Tech in Ruston, Louisiana, on May 26-30.
NCAA Regionals get underway on June 4, and NCAA Super Regional play is slated for June 10 at various host sites to be announced later. The season culminates on June 19-30 as TD Ameritrade Park Omaha hosts the College World Series.
