MIAMI (April 29, 2021) - The FIU softball team hosts WKU on April 30-May 2, as the Panthers take on the Hilltoppers in a four-game series to conclude the 2021 home slate at Felsberg Field.
FIU and WKU will face off on Friday at 5 p.m., before a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 1 p.m., and concluding the series on Sunday at Noon. Senior Day festivities will be held between games of Saturday's doubleheader.

BATTLE AT THE PLATE
Venessa Gallegos and
Kayla Whitehead enter the weekend with batting averages ranking in the C-USA Top 10, as Gallegos has hit .367 for the year to rank eighth and Whitehead at .358 to rank ninth. Whitehead has ranked up the extra-base hits as well, with nine doubles to tie for fourth in the league and four triples to rank second overall.
SCOUTING THE FOE
WKU enters the weekend with a 20-11 record overall, having split their last series with Charlotte. Paige Carter and Taylor Davis lead the Hilltoppers with a .362 average at the plate, while Kelsey Aikey has pitched a team-high 84.1 innings and has earned a 2.74 ERA.
UP NEXT
FIU travels to Middle Tennessee on May 7-9, as the Panthers and Blue Raiders conclude the regular season.
