DALLAS, Texas – The Conference USA announced its Women's Soccer All-Academic Teams on Friday, as FIU's 
Reagan Bridges and 
Dominique Marcelli represented the Panthers among the league's All-Academic First Team and Second Team, respectively.
 
Bridges, a sophomore from Littleton, Colorado, notches her first career C-USA All-Academic Team nod on the league's first team holding a 3.96 GPA as a Chemistry major.
 
The second-year defender has played a significant role on FIU's defensive line, having started all 14 games played this season while leading the team with a total of 1,254 minutes played behind 13 90-minute performances on the year. Through just two seasons, the Colorado native has started all 29 career games she's appeared in donning the Blue & Gold. Additionally, Bridges recorded her first career assist in 4-2 win against Southern on Aug. 28, while having aided a pair of clean sheets through conference play.
 
Marcelli, a junior midfielder from Toronto, Canada, additionally nabs her first career C-USA All-Academic Team honor on the league's second team, as she holds a 3.90 GPA as a Psychology major.
 
Marcelli has also started all 14 matches played this season, ranked third among the squad in points (4) behind one goal and two assists. The Toronto native recorded a career day with three points in a win over Southern on Aug. 28 in notching her first career goal on a penalty kick, in addition to providing her first career assist en route to the 4-2 victory. Marcelli added an assist at Lipscomb on Sept. 4, as the junior has also logged over 1,000 minutes with 1,045 on the season.
