2023 FIU SOFTBALL SCHEDULE
 
MIAMI – The FIU softball team will play 18 of its first 23 games at home and host tournaments over three of the season's first four weekends as part of its released 2023 schedule.
 
Overall, the Panthers will play 30 home contests beginning with the annual Felsberg Invitational, which will see them face Clemson in the season opener on Thursday, Feb. 9.  Georgia State and UMKC will also complete at the four-team event.
 
FIU will follow with the Panther Invitational on Feb. 17-19, which will see Butler, Missouri and Pittsburgh head south to Miami for the weekend.
 
The Panthers will play their lone non-conference weekend away from home when they travel to Madeira Beach, Fla., for a total of five games from Feb. 24-26.  FIU will play a pair of games against Notre Dame as well single contests against Valparaiso, Oakland (Mich.) and Siena.
 
The Panthers will wrap up the early tournament season with the FIU Classic on March 3-5.  FIU will welcome Stonehill College, Nevada and Stony Brook to Felsberg Field for the three-day event.
 
Other non-conference match ups later in the season include a game at UCF (April 11) and North Florida (April 19).  The Panthers also are slated to host Holy Cross is a doubleheader on Tuessday, March 7.
 
FIU will open Conference USA play on the road the weekend of March 10-12 when its travels for a three-game set at Charlotte. 
 
The Panthers home league opener will take place the following weekend against Louisiana Tech on March 17-19.
 
Other conference road series for the Panthers include UAB (March 24-26), FAU (April 7-9) and UTEP (May 5-7).
 
FIU will face conference foes UTSA (March 31-April 2), Middle Tennessee (April 21-23) and Western Kentucky (April 28-30) at home.
 
The 2023 Conference USA Championship is scheduled for May 10-13 in Ruston, La.
 
FIU will face a total of three teams (Clemson, Notre Dame, UCF) that qualified for the 2022 NCAA Softball Championship.
