Box Score FORT MYERS, Fla. (Feb. 28, 2023) – Baseball battled Florida Gulf Coast on the road on Tuesday night dropping the game, 14-7.

Redshirt Junior
Henry Wallen had his best game as a Panther, going 2-5 with five RBI and a grand slam. Junior
Adrian Figueroa put together his third multi-hit game of the season, going 2-5 and drawing a walk.

It would be the Eagles to get on the board first, going up 3-0 after hitting two home runs in the first three innings.

The Panthers would flip the game in the top of the fifth with four runs of their own.

Junior
Ryne Guida and Figueroa opened the inning with singles. Junior
Ronny Medina then drew a walk to load the bases with no outs. Wallen would step up and work a full count before hitting a grand slam to right field to put FIU up, 4-3.

Florida Gulf Coast would then put together a six-hit, six-run bottom half of the inning to regain the lead, 9-4.

The scoring did not let up as the Panthers drove home three more runs in the top of the sixth.

A Figueroa single and Medina walk would once again get a runner in scoring position for Wallen, who delivered a single through the right side for this fifth RBI of the night.
Junior
Steven Ondina followed with a bases-clearing double to deep center to cut the FGCU advantage down to 9-7.

Florida Gulf Coast would score five more runs in the bottom of the eighth as the Panthers eventually fell, 14-7.
