Box Score DALLAS, Texas (Mar. 18, 2023) – Baseball continued its series against Dallas Baptist on Saturday, losing to the Patriots, 12-2.

Redshirt senior Alec Sanchez was a bright spot for the Panthers, going 2-4 with two RBI and a home run, his second of the season.

The Panthers did their scoring early in the game, putting two on the board in the top of the first.

With two outs, Dante Girardi swung at the first pitch he saw and singled past the shortstop. Sanchez then stepped up and launched the ball over the right field wall to put FIU ahead, 2-0.
 
Dallas Baptist responded in the bottom of the second and took the lead, 4-2.

The Patriots would score four the fourth and in the seventh to eventually come out on top, 12-2.
