MIAMI --- The FIU softball team (29-19-1, 11-12-1 CUSA) heads on the road this weekend for a three-game series at league-leading No. 25 Liberty. The series, which will be played at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium, begins Friday night at 6 p.m. as the Panthers battle for one of the final seeds in the upcoming Conference USA tournament.
Each game of the series will be aired on ESPN+ with live stats also available for the entire weekend.
FIU, which will also play Liberty at 3 p.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday, is currently on the outside looking in, just behind New Mexico State and Sam Houston, who are each 12-12 in CUSA play. Western Kentucky sits in fourth place at 12-10-1. The Panthers would have to jump one of those three teams to earn a berth.

MEREDITH LOOKS FOR MORE HISTORY
Kally Meredith, a sophomore from Kaukauna, Wis., has a chance this weekend to become the first player in program history to steal 40 bases in a season.
Earlier this year, Meredith broke Nicole Dubovik's single-season record of 35 from 2003. Along with Dubovik's 30 swipes in 2002, she has already recorded one of just three seasons with 30+ steals in a single season in program history (1998-present).
