HUNTSVILLE, Texas – The FIU baseball program has secured the No. 6 seed in the upcoming 2025 Conference USA (CUSA) Baseball Championship, as announced by the league office on Saturday evening.

The Panthers (30-25 13-13 CUSA) will open tournament play against No. 3 seed Kennesaw State (29-25, 17-9 CUSA) on Wednesday, May 21, with first pitch scheduled for 9 a.m. ET. The game will take place at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium, the host site of this year's championship. This marks the first-ever meeting between FIU and Kennesaw State in the CUSA Championship, with the Owls joining the conference this season. The two teams met earlier in April, with Kennesaw State claiming the series in Georgia.

The winner of the FIU/Kennesaw State matchup will face the winner of the game between No. 2 seed Western Kentucky and No. 7 seed New Mexico State on Thursday, May 22, at 12:30 p.m. ET.

Additional opening round matchups include top-seeded Dallas Baptist vs. No. 8 seed Liberty, and No. 4 seed Jacksonville State taking on No. 5 seed Louisiana Tech.

All games leading up to the championship will stream live on ESPN+, while the title game is set to air on CBS Sports Network on Sunday, May 25, at 1 p.m. ET.

This marks FIU's seventh appearance in the CUSA Championship and its second consecutive trip to the postseason. The Panthers captured the tournament crown in 2015, advancing to the NCAA Coral Gables Regional that same year.
