LYNCHBURG, Va. – FIU's baseball program fell to the Liberty Flames, 13-0 in seven innings, Sunday afternoon at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium in the series finale.
FIU (8-20, 1-8 CUSA) fell behind early as Liberty plated five runs in the first inning. The Flames added a run in the fourth and five more in the fifth to build an 11-0 advantage. Liberty tacked on two additional runs in the sixth to secure the series sweep.
On the mound,
Julian Mlodzinski made his sixth start of the season, allowing five runs over four innings while striking out four batters, tying his career high.
George Adams recorded two outs in relief, while
Jeremy Urena added one out.
Mason Koczwara and
Tracen Cameron also made appearances on the afternoon.
Offensively, FIU recorded one hit, as
Mario Trivella delivered a single.
Aidan Cohall reached base twice via walks, while
Cooper Rasmussen extended his on-base streak to 13 games after being hit by a pitch.
