Box Score MIAMI (May 9, 2014) – Middle Tennessee's Zac Curtis threw a two-hit shutout as FIU (34-14, 14-11) fell 7-0 on Friday night. Curtis struck out eight batters and walked four as he improved to 7-3 on the season.

Mike Franco started the game for FIU and was forced to leave the game in the fifth inning due to an injury. He was charged with two earned runs in the loss, striking out four in four innings of work. Junior

Gunnar McNeill earned the lone two hits for the Panthers.
The Raiders scored the only run they would need in the third inning on a sacrifice fly to make it 1-0. From there, MTSU would plate two in the fifth, one in the seventh and three in the ninth to secure a 7-0 victory.
