MIAMI (Dec. 14, 2015) – The FIU women's basketball team (2-5) will travel to Cleveland, Ohio, to take on the Cleveland State Vikings (2-5) on Tuesday, Dec. 15, from the Wolstein Center. Tipoff is set for 11:00 a.m.

The Panthers enter Tuesday's contest averaging 66.6 points-per-game on 41.2 percent shooting from the floor. FIU is allowing 79.1 points-per-game as the opposition is shooting 48.0 percent from the field.
Looking to pick up the team's first road victory of the year, FIU is led by
Janka Hegedus, who is averaging 15.9 points-per-game, shooting 50.0 percent on the year. Senior
Taylor Shade is totaling 13.3 points-per-game and leads the squad with 23 assists. Junior
Tianah Alvarado rounds out the double-digit scorers for the Panthers, averaging 12.4 points-per-game. Alvarado is averaging 3.00 steals-per-game (No. 26 in the nation) and has shot a team-high 17 treys, converting 48.6 percent of her shots from beyond the arc (No. 18 in the nation).
Tuesday's game will be the fifth meeting all-time between the two schools with FIU holding a 3-1 edge in the series history. The last meeting between FIU and Cleveland State resulted in a 73-65 win for the Vikings on Nov. 23, 204 in Miami, Fla.
