MIAMI (April 6, 2015) – The FIU baseball team (14-18) will host the USF Bulls (22-10-1) on Tuesday in a mid-week, non-conference showdown. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. ET from the FIU Baseball Stadium.

The game will mark the second meeting between the two schools this season as USF defeated FIU, 4-3, on Wednesday, March 18, in Tampa, Fla.
FIU is hitting .269 as a team with 19 home runs and 165 RBI. Freshman
Jack Schaaf leads the Panthers with a .304 batting average followed by junior
Zack Soria, who is hitting .303. Junior
Brian Portelli is second on the team in RBI (25) and leads the team with 12 doubles on the year (No. 2 in C-USA). Junior
Edwin Rios (.270) leads FIU with 26 runs batted in with a team-best nine home runs.
The FIU pitching staff comes into Tuesday's game with a 4.06 ERA with 257 strikeouts in 281 and one-thirds innings pitched.
The game will mark the 34th meeting all-time between the two teams with FIU holding a 17-16 edge in the series history.
