MIAMI (May 4, 2015) – The FIU baseball team (21-25) will host the Jacksonville Dolphins (21-25) in a two-game, mid-week, non-conference showdown beginning Tuesday, May 5. First pitch for game one is set for 6:30 p.m. ET from the FIU Baseball Stadium.

FIU is hitting .272 as a team with 29 home runs and 239 RBI. Senior
Brian Portelli leads the Panthers with a .335 batting average followed by junior
Edwin Rios, who is hitting .315. Rios leads the conference and ranks No. 13 in the nation in home runs (13), while leading the Panthers with 43 RBI. Portelli is second on the team in RBI (38) and leads the team with 16 doubles on the year (Tied for No. 3 in C-USA).
The FIU pitching staff comes into Tuesday's game with a 4.14 ERA with 331 strikeouts in 409 innings pitched.
Tuesday's game will mark the 42
nd meeting all-time between FIU and JU with the Dolphins holding a 23-18 advantage in the series history.
