• FIU dropped game one of a three-game series against Lousiana Tech on Saturday 7-1 in Ruston, Louisiana.
• The Lady Techsters jumped on FIU right away in the first inning, putting up three runs against the Panthers starting pitcher, Shannon Saile.
• FIU got on the board in the seventh inning when Kasandra Castle grounded out to second base and Jackie Schoff scored.
• Schoff tacked on two more hits to her total this season. Schoff's triple in the seventh inning was her first of the season.

• FIU fell to Lousiana Tech in game two of a double-header on Saturday 6-0.
• La Tech scored early on the Panthers again in game two, this time in the second inning to take a 1-0 lead.
• Tatyana Forbes continues to do a nice job in the lead-off spot for FIU with two more hits in game two. Forbes is hitting .347 on the season.
• FIU's starting pitcher, Megan Kugelmann went five and one-third innings allowing six runs – three earned on six hits.
