- FIU made quick work of the Pittsburgh Panthers in game one of the double-header coming away with a 8-0 win in five innings.
- The Panthers jumped out to a 1-0 lead after Kasandra Castle's single drove in Tatyana Forbes. However, the Panthers would break the game open in the second inning when they tacked on five more runs to make it 6-0, FIU. The five-run inning was highlighted by Vennesa Gallegos' bases-clearing double to left-center. Gallegos went 2-for-3 with four RBI.
- Jackie Schoff and Forbes both contributed with two hits and two runs scored apiece.
- That was Shannon Saile's second complete game shutout this season. Saile threw a complete game shutout in five innings of work, while striking out 10 batters.

- FIU found themselves in another tightly contested pitcher's duel in game two of a double-header against the Pittsburgh Panthers. FIU would drop game two 2-0 and fall to 12-12 on the season.
- The two runs for Pitt would come in the 6th inning, when FIU misplayed a fly-ball
- Allison Muraskin pitched a gem of a game. She went seven innings allowing two unearned runs on four hits. Muraskin struck out five Pitt Panthers.
- Julia Gilbert recorded two of FIU's four hits in the game.
- Jackie Schoff hit safely in both games of the double-header. She has recorded at least one hit in 18 of 24 games she has played in this season. Schoff is hitting .325 this season.
