MIAMIRhema Collins has been named to the mid-season watch list for the 2026 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award, presented by Her Hoop Stats. The award is presented to the best mid-major player in the country at the conclusion of the season, with 10 semifinalists being announced in February.

The Bahamas native has been a standout not just for FIU, but the entirety of Conference USA. The guard is averaging a double-double this season, currently leading CUSA in scoring (19.9 points per game), rebounding (10.7 rebounds per game) and has been stellar on the defensive end, also leading the conference in blocks per game with 1.8.

Collins has not just been turning heads in the conference, but on the national scale as well. Sitting at nine double-doubles on the season, Collins not only leads CUSA, but is 14th in the country, and sits at first in the entire nation in offensive rebounds per game with 4.8 a contest.

The guard has had four 20-point games this season, including a 40-point explosion in a victory over Georgia State. Two of her 20-point scoring performances came this past weekend in a road trip sweep for the Panthers at New Mexico State and UTEP, when the junior came out of the weekend with two double-doubles, leading to her second CUSA Player of the Week honor.

Collins is one of 15 players honored to the watch list, and is the only player from CUSA named. Collins becomes the first player in program history to make the list since the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award began in 2020.
