Box Score MIAMI (March 2, 2013) – The FIU baseball team (7-4) fell at the hands of the No. 8-ranked Ole Miss Rebels (10-1) by a score of 8-2 Saturday afternoon at the FIU Baseball Stadium in Miami, Fla.

Oscar Aguirre led the Panthers going 2 for 4 with a home run while junior
Zach Sweety and
Tyler James Shantz each had two hits. FIU junior
Tyler Alexander (1-1) suffered the loss for the Panthers while Mike Mayers picked up his first win of the season for the Rebels.
FIU's only runs came off the bat of Aguirre who launched a two-run home run in the fifth inning. The home run was the first of the season for Aguirre.
FIU will take on Ole Miss in the final game of a three-game series on Sunday, March 3, with first pitch scheduled for Noon ET.
