MIAMI (Feb. 27, 2015) – The FIU women's basketball team (3-23, 0-15 C-USA) hosts (RV) WKU (24-4, 13-2 C-USA) in the final home game of the 2014-15 season on Saturday at 6 p.m. from Lime Court at FIU Arena.
LABADY AND DAVYDOVA TO BE HONORED BEFORE THE GAME FOR SENIOR DAYFIU's two seniors,
Zsofia Labady and
Marita Davydova, will be recognized before Saturday's game as it will be their final time playing at FIU Arena.

SERIES HISTORY FIU and WKU are meeting for the 35th time overall in the series that the Lady Toppers own a 25-9 advantage in. In the last meeting, the Lady Toppers downed the Panthers, 81-42, where FIU was unable to get much going offensively. FIU's last win in the series came in Miami on Feb. 16, 2013 by a score of 72-53.
SCOUTING FIUFIU dropped its 23rd game of the year on Thursday evening after falling 74-50 to Marshall. Senior

Kiandre'a Pound led FIU with 15 points apiece. The dynamic duo also led the Panthers on the boards with a combined 14 rebounds (eight for Davydova and six for Pound). Freshman
Aajah Hawkins had a career-night with five assists and two steals in 26 minutes of action. Pound continues to lead the Panthers on the season with 15.0 points-per-game while Davydova leads the team on the boards with 9.8 rebounds-per-contest.
SCOUTING WKUWKU comes to Miami winners of seven of its last eight games including a huge victory over Middle Tennessee last Saturday. Most recently, the Lady Toppers bested Florida Atlantic, 85-74, to move to 22-4 on the year. The victory over the Owls was WKU's 900th program win and Coach Michelle Clarke-Heard's 70th with the program. Redshirt sophomore Kendall Noble had 16 of her game high 23 points in the first half, and finished with a double-double as she also grabbed 10 rebounds in the game. Junior Jalynn McClain had a career high 16 points after earning her second consecutive start. Senior All-American candidate Chastity Gooch leads the team on the season in scoring (16.9 ppg), while Noble leads the way on the glass (7.4 rpg).
POUND EARNS LEAGUE LEADING SIXTH C-USA FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK NODKiandre'a Pound was named the Conference USA Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week for the sixth time this season, the league announced this afternoon. She is the only player in FIU history to garner a conference weekly award more than four times in one season. Pound posted two double-digit scoring efforts on the week to average 20.0 points per game on 41.9 percent shooting from the field (13-of-31), 60.0 percent (3-of-5) from three point range and 78.6 percent from the free throw line. The redshirt freshman's 21 points at Rice (Feb. 19) and 19 points at North Texas (Feb. 21) were the 18th and 19th time in 25 games she has reached double figures this season. In the outing at Rice, Pound posted 10 rebounds to notch her eighth double-double on the year. For the week, Pound averaged 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.5 blocks. The Vero Beach, Fla., native continues to lead the Panther offensive threat with an average of 15.0 points per game, raking 10th in the conference.
