Ashley Belans broke up Kramer's then-no hitter in game one with a one-out single through the right side, but hits would be scarce on Saturday.
The Panthers' ace in the circle,
Corinne Jenkins, put her team on her back during the Sunday series finale and spun a four-hit, five-strikeout victory. In a heated pitcher's duel with Kramer, Jenkins' offense gave her some run support via a two-run fifth inning.
Jessica Hallet took Kramer deep for just the third time all season before some small ball on FIU's side allowed
Rebekah Sanchez to scoot home off
Gabby Spallone's two-out single.
Senior Day CeremonyPrior to FIU's first pitch versus the Eagles on Saturday, the Panthers will honor their three graduating seniors,
Rebekah Sanchez,
Shelby Graves, and
Krystal Garcia.
What a Win!Corinne Jenkins moved into a tie for third place in FIU history with 47 wins on April 19, as the Panther ace put her team on her back for a four-hit victory over C-USA leader WKU. It also ties her career, single-season-high for wins at 17.
RB1(0)Stephanie Texeira became the second active Panther to earn a spot on the FIU all-time RBI list, as her RBI-single on April 11 gives her 85 runs for her career. She joins junior catcher
Aleima Lopez, who's currently No. 6 all-time with 90 RBI.
