MIAMI (April 26, 2019) - The FIU softball team returns to Felsberg Field April 27-28 as the Panthers welcome Southern Miss for its final home series of the season.

The Panthers and the Golden Eagles will play two on Saturday with first pitch set for 4 p.m. ET and the second game starting at approximately 6 p.m. ET. Sunday's contest will be at 12 p.m. ET and will serve as Senior Day for FIU.

LAST TIME OUT
The FIU softball team won a midweek contest against non-conference foe UCF, as the Panthers downed the Knights 4-1 in extra innings. Sophomore Allison Muraskin picked up the win after allowing just one run off seven hits. Muraskin fanned six batters in her fifth complete game of the season for the Panthers. At the plate, freshman Alexis Johns led the Panthers as she picked up three hits, while batting in one run. Fellow freshman Montana Szara earned the go-ahead run after her eighth-inning triple.

IN THE CIRCLE
Allison Muraskin leads the Panthers in the circle, after earning an 8-12 record thus far. The sophomore has pitched 115.2 innings total and owns a team-low 3.35 ERA.

AT THE PLATE
Jackie Schoff leads the Panthers at the plate, with the senior averaging .328 with 24 runs, 45 hits and 11 RBIs. Schoff has also collected three doubles, three triples and 11 walks. Natalie Orcutt leads the team in RBIs after batting in 27 on the year followed by Jessica Rivera who owns 26 RBIs.

UP NEXT
The Panthers will head to El Paso, Texas as the FIU softball team faces the UTEP Miners on May 4-5 for a three-game conference series to close out the regular season. Saturday's games are set for 3:00 p.m. ET and 5:30 p.m. ET. The series finale will be on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. ET.
